Privacy Policy

SwiftPDF is designed around a simple principle: your files never leave your device. This policy explains what that means in practice and what little data we do handle.

Your files stay on your device

Every tool on SwiftPDF — merging, splitting, compressing, image conversion and QR generation — runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. When you drop a file into a tool, it is read into your browser's local memory, processed there, and offered back to you as a download. No file is uploaded to any server, at any point, for any reason. We could not see your documents even if we wanted to.

What we don't collect

  • We don't ask you to create an account, so we hold no usernames, passwords or profiles.
  • We don't see, store or transmit the files you process.
  • We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics that follow you across the web.

What we do collect

Like virtually every website, our hosting provider may log basic technical information needed to serve pages — such as the page requested, the time, and coarse network data. These logs are used for security and reliability, are not combined with any personal profile, and are retained only as long as operationally necessary.

Third-party libraries

Two open-source libraries are loaded from public CDNs to power the tools: pdf-lib (unpkg.com) for PDF processing and qrcodejs (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) for QR generation. Loading these libraries means your browser makes a standard request to those CDNs — the same as loading any script from a CDN. Your files are never sent to them; the libraries simply run locally once loaded.

Cookies

SwiftPDF does not set tracking cookies. Your browser may store ordinary technical data (such as cached files) to make pages load faster, which you control through your browser settings.
